To Tune in aTV
To tune in:
Analogue and DiGiTaL signals.
Your TV antenna must be pointing towards Mt.
Dandenong.
- Find a unused channel on your TV receiver. (e.g. Ch
16)
- Adjust the tuning control for a TV signal, start of
the UHF band.
- If you receive SBS, you have gone to far scan back.
- If you receive TEN, you've gone back to far, try
again.
- If ATV is sending a TV signal your "auto tune"
function may
find the channel... However ATV is a low level, intermittant
signal service. (not always on)
- If possible manually program your receiver for:
- DiGiTaL to 446.5 Mhz or 446500 Khz
- Analogue to 444.25 Mhz or 444250 Khz
Note:
Your TV receiver may not be able to receive ATV broadcasts because it
can not pick up ATV frequencies (444 / 446 Mhz) or no one is sending a
signal or the signal in your area is just too weak to receive. .. If
you receive MCTV Channel 31 as a snowy or normal DiGiTaL TV as
freeze / unfreeze blocky picture then ATV is most likely not
receivable. Check your TV antenna and all antenna leads for good
electrical / physical connection, a shake or wiggle of the plugged in
leads should not cause any picture jitter or noise, if so replace item
or check wall outlet etc.
aTV DiGiTaL expected on-air post September 2009.
aTV is NOT receivable
if
- Your TV antenna points toward the City or you
- watch "free to air" TV services via cable TV.
